Research has shown that a combination of high angular velocities and excessive tibia external rotation relative to the femur has been a significant contributor to overuse movement patterns in hip adduction and the knee joint for swimmers.
The most common problems within the upper body for swimmers is shoulder pain. When fatigued it's common that the elbow drops with each stroke and this causes increased external rotation of the shoulder joint during the pull through phase of the stroke which in turn causes a mechanical disadvantage.
Physical Qualities and Skills Needed:
The purpose of Dry land training is to develop the essential skills for the swimmer that can't be produced in the water. The below skills are necessary to developing a well-balanced competitive swimmer.
The purpose of our Assessment is to identify risks of injury, muscle imbalances, skill limiting factors and areas of need to improve performance in competition.
Swimming S&C Program:
(Semi-Private Small Group, Max of 5 Athletes accepted into this program)
Ages: 10 and up
Schedule: 11 Weeks, Mondays & Wednesdays , 6:30-7:30pm
Start Date: September 6
End Date: November 22
Cost: 20 sessions for $375, 16 sessions for $336, 11 sessions for $250 (10% Cash Discount if Paid in Full), payment plan available upon request (split into 3 payments through EFT or CC)
